Can you describe what you do for Abode?

My daily responsibilities consist of finding potential home buyers, helping people list their homes, and building relationships with clients. For the convenience of my wonderful clients, I make myself available at all times during the day and night, and return any calls, texts, or emails as quickly as possible.

When did you move to Charleston?

I’ve actually lived in the Charleston area three separate times. The first time I moved to the area was to attend Johnson and Wales (when they were still in Charleston). In the 1990s, I returned to the city to work in hospitality. Finally, back in 2017, my husband and I took a vacation to the area and decided that this is where we wanted to settle. We moved to Kiawah in early 2020 (right before the pandemic). Thomas was actually our real estate agent, and helped us find the perfect home!

How do you like working with Abode and Thomas?

I’m so glad you asked this question! As I mentioned, Thomas was my original real estate agent when moving to Kiawah. My husband and I were really impressed by his exceptional service, and we were thrilled with the entire experience. Just after moving to the area, I was laid off due to the pandemic. I had worked in corporate recruiting for 20+ years, and decided that this was the time to change careers. Once I earned my real estate license, I reached out to Thomas for advice. Now, I’m working as a sales executive on his team, and love every moment! Thomas is incredibly supportive, and is always there to answer my questions.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?

I’ve had three separate careers since college. I went to culinary school, and worked in high-end restaurants before I got into corporate recruiting. I’m now on my third career path, and loving it.

What are some of your favorite spots in the Charleston area?

The beaches at Kiawah, Downtown Charleston, any golf course, Sullivan’s Island, and Isle of Palms.

If you had to recommend three restaurants to someone just moving to Charleston, what would they be?

Wild Olive, Jackrabbit Filly, and Halls Chophouse.

And finally, what can people expect when they work with you?

After having worked in multiple five-star hotels, high-end restaurants, and recruiting, I know how to deliver top-notch customer service. I strive to support clients at every stage. I am always available, and I am ultra-quick to respond to all communication. When you work with me, I will always serve as your guide, and provide the highest level of integrity and ethics.
